Measure the bottom, center, and top of the opening — always from the center of the curb. Three readings tell us whether your walls are square, which is what determines how the glass gets cut.
Run a level up both walls. If anything is off by 3/4" or more, note which wall and by how much — we'll either taper a filler strip or adjust the panel design.
Start at the top of the threshold or tub deck and measure straight up to where you want the glass to end. Common heights are 72", 76", and 80", but we'll cut to anything.

Most customers do. Your glass arrives with holes pre-drilled and hardware included — you're mounting clamps or a U-channel into tile and hanging the panel. Plan on two people for the lift and two to four hours total. If you'd rather not, any handyman or glazier can hang it, and you'll still be well under a full-service quote.
Not under normal use when installed correctly. Without a bulky metal frame there's nothing to trap and channel water, so the design relies on clear vinyl seals, a proper sweep, and the natural drainage angle of your floor. Think of the glass as deflecting water back toward the drain rather than sealing it in like an aquarium.
Very common, and it's handled in the builder. Enter your top, middle, and bottom widths, then select which wall leans. Example: 34 1/2" at the bottom, 34 7/8" at the top, 72" high, left wall out 3/8". We cut the panel to match, or supply a tapered filler strip.

Six glass types — clear, low-iron, rain, acid-etch, gray, and bronze — in 3/8" or 1/2" tempered. Nine handle styles, clamp or U-channel mounting, and seven finishes: matte black, brushed nickel, oil-rubbed bronze, polished brass, polished chrome, polished nickel, and satin brass. Royalty Shield water-repellent coating is a $50 add-on that cuts cleaning time dramatically.

A frameless glass shower door does more for a bathroom than almost any other single change. It removes the visual wall that a framed enclosure or curtain creates, so a small bathroom reads as one continuous space instead of two cramped ones, and it puts your tile work on display rather than hiding it behind aluminum track. The catch has always been price: because every shower opening is slightly different, custom shower glass has traditionally meant a showroom visit, a template appointment, and a quote in the thousands.

Frameless glass shower doors use thick tempered glass — 3/8" or 1/2" — held by discreet clamps or a slim U-channel, with no metal surrounding the panel itself. The thickness is what makes it possible: the glass is rigid enough to support itself. Semi-frameless designs frame the perimeter but leave the door edge bare, and framed enclosures use thinner glass held in aluminum on every side. Frameless costs more up front and looks dramatically better, which is why it's now the default in remodels and new construction.
Standard-size doors work when your opening is standard. Most aren't. Walls settle out of plumb, tile adds thickness unevenly, knee walls and benches interrupt the line, and corner and neo-angle showers rarely match a catalog size. Custom shower enclosures solve this by cutting to your actual measurements, including different widths at the top, middle, and bottom of the opening — which is what our builder asks for, and why it fits when an off-the-shelf door wouldn't.
Clear tempered glass is the most popular choice and shows tile most faithfully, though it carries a faint green edge tint. Low-iron glass removes that tint for a truly colorless panel and is worth the upgrade with white or light stone tile. Rain and acid-etch glass add privacy while still passing light. Gray and bronze tint the view and pair well with darker finishes. Every option we sell is tempered — roughly four times stronger than annealed glass, and required by code for shower enclosures.
